キャンバスのダウン??

Canvas down?

There was a legendary shop that was a precursor to ANATOMICA and the origin of today's select shops.

"GLOBE"

In the 1970s, Pierre Fournier, the founder of ANATOMICA, started a concept shop that gathered good products from all over the world.

At GLOBE back then, they carried down jackets by "Rocky Mountain Featherbed" with a seamless, single-piece leather western yoke.

The photo on the poster is of Pierre himself wearing an "RMFC" jacket.

It was an era in the 1970s when Parisian fashion was heavily influenced by American clothing.

Pierre described the situation at the time in a magazine article:

"One day, Jean-Paul Belmondo (a French actor) came into the shop and immediately bought a Rocky Mountain Feather Bed Down Vest and took it home.

At that time, we were more American than Americans. Just like the Japanese are today."

This historical background is one of the reasons why ANATOMICA still places custom orders for "RMFC" products.

This season, the custom-ordered models from ANATOMICA are the "CHRISTY VEST" and "CHRISTY JACKET" in canvas fabric.

They were made based on vintage products made of "canvas material" that existed during the GLOBE era.

Natural canvas fabric with a natural leather western yoke.

I feel that the coloring, which is uncharacteristic of "RMFC" that originated in Jackson Hole, America, truly reflects the style envisioned by Pierre of ANATOMICA.

Just as the Parisians of the 1970s were more American than Americans...
The Parisians' chic way of wearing American clothes...

I can't help but imagine that if GLOBE had custom-made "RMFC" in this coloring back then, it would have been seen all over the streets of Paris.

Because it's an item I've never seen or worn, I think about how to wear it.
That's also the joy of clothes.

A product that excites you even before you wear it.

Please take a look.
