A Shocking Pair - ANATOMICA BY ALDEN "INDY BOOT"

This story dates back about 15 years.

At that time, I was working at ARCH, a sister store of ANATOMICA SAPPORO.

At ARCH, there was a row of service shoes issued to the US NAVY from the 1940s to the 1980s, and next to them were ALDEN shoes.

The commonality was that both used shoe lasts created with an orthopedic approach.

At the time, I didn't own any ALDEN shoes because I couldn't find my size, so I often wore US NAVY service shoes, but I harbored a longing to one day own a pair of ALDENs myself!

My seniors told me that the "ANATOMICA INDY" was incredibly cool, and advised me to buy a pair if my size ever came in.

The following year, ANATOMICA SAPPORO opened, and at that time, the ANATOMICA BY ALDEN INDY BOOT arrived.

The ANATOMICA BY ALDEN INDY BOOT, which I saw for the first time, was astonishing.

I wondered if the material and last could make such a difference in appearance...
I remember being overwhelmed by the aging of the Chromexcel leather when I saw the INDY BOOT worn by owner Yamauchi.

In any case... the "ANATOMICA INDY" I saw for the first time was a pair that possessed the original functionality of work boots, yet appeared somewhat elegant.

Of course, my size didn't come in... (chuckles)

Among the many masterpieces in "ANATOMICA BY ALDEN," the "ANATOMICA INDY" I saw at that time left a strong impression on me, especially since I had just joined the company.

For the next 12 years, the "NATURAL CHROMEXCEL LEATHER" ANATOMICA INDY was not restocked.

In fact, it was a material that had been discontinued once and had not been restocked for several years.

After 12 years, the long-awaited "NATURAL COLOR" INDY BOOT has been revived.

Seeing the INDY BOOT after a long time, the same excitement I felt back then resurfaced.
