GP SHIRT KYOTO LIMITED from PARIS

Last year, during my business trip to Paris, I discovered the "GP SHIRT" at ANATOMICA PARIS.

Seeing how stylishly the Paris staff member, Johan, was wearing it, I, Takumi, and our owner, Yamauchi, immediately bought some and hand-carried them back to Kyoto to sell.

They sold out so quickly that we weren't able to properly introduce them, but...

Actually, when Monsieur Pierre saw us buying the GP SHIRTs in Paris, he suggested, "In that case, shall we make a Kyoto-exclusive version of the GP SHIRT?"

We, of course, answered "Yes, please do" without a second thought.

While there is a rich variety of fabrics available for shirts, the one that Monsieur Pierre and Monsieur Charles proposed was an airtex (mesh) fabric.

They gave it their seal of approval, saying they thought it would suit Kyoto perfectly.

With this classic fabric rooted in British military history, we were thrilled and proceeded immediately to produce the shirts using it.

The British military adopted this fabric for their gear in the 19th century because they needed a material with excellent breathability and quick-drying properties for operations in subtropical regions like India and Africa.

The colors are navy and white.

Our owner, Yamauchi, chose these colors instantly.

GP stands for "Grandpa," and the design is based on the classic French grandpa shirt.

It is a special piece that incorporates a classic British fabric into the design of a French grandpa shirt.

At ANATOMICA PARIS, I was very impressed by how they wore these beautiful, made-in-France shirts with a washed, tucked-out look, even in the middle of summer.

I believe that even in the sweltering heat of a Kyoto summer, you will be able to stay comfortable in this airtex fabric.

Please come and see it for yourself at our store.
