As the model name "1841" suggests, this jacket is inspired by the work jackets issued to the French army in 1841.
Like the "1839," which is also inspired by French military workwear, it features asymmetrically placed buttons and a stand collar. However, the 1841 eliminates pockets, giving it more of a shirt-like feel.
The fabric is 100% linen. Thick linen yarn, normally used for bed sheets, is carefully woven to create a houndstooth pattern.
