This jacket is based on the very light zone jacket issued to US Navy pilots in the 1950s.
It features a small rounded collar that looks great even when worn untied.
The back has an action pleat design, which was likely added at the time to allow for easier arm movement in cramped cockpits.
The front also features four storage pockets, with a pen-holding slit in the left chest pocket. The left sleeve has a simple pen holder, replicating the functional beauty of the original design.
Paying homage to the original, the fabric is made of thin cotton poplin. With its straight sleeves, it would look great rolled up thickly and paired with a single T-shirt.
